This is a demo track.
I stood here
Taking photos once.
Duck for cover,
Don't fall -
Coffee stained teeth.
Once I walked up here with someone who dreaded heights
But heads held high and gazes soft we passed through slowly,
I sat here once
Pushing a battery
Into my chest.
When my heart went black for a few months.
I think I've almost got it running again.
On polluted air.
Wind stings cut into my hair,
The blaring of construction work makes all my foundations shake.
And the battery power flickers
Off for a sec,
I trip over a step
On the way up -
Some piece of history I made up gets stuck to my shoe.
Some photograph I took one time of you.
I shudder once.
Keep gaze soft and pass through slowly.
Turn off the things that keep me lonely.
Rip out the page I keep rereading.
To get the air I'm needing.
Because I'm panting out my chest -
But I've almost got me running again.
