This is a demo track.

Toronto you are my bicycle tires gone flat after hitting every red light
You are running to catch the bus to watch it drive off before my eyes

Toronto, you mean compromise.

With you I get one interview, at tops two.
I feel like I’ve bit off more than I can chew
Thinking that one day you could love me too.

Toronto you’re gray,
Toronto I’m poor,
Toronto I lay my head down on Bloor,
Your Honest lights blind me.
Your BMVs kindly
Speak stories of finding a love that is binding

But Toronto your love is one I can only rent and never call my own.

Toronto you’re hot,
Toronto you’re cold,
Toronto I am tired,

And I’m getting bored,

And I’m pissed off at Ford,

And the Lakeshore barely exists anymore
Except for those who have the repose to pay for the view.

Toronto, the highways that could take me out of here are collapsing over themselves.

Stuck bumper to bumper with your furious lovers
Furious and fast to beat the bar night covers.

You’re the hour that stops the subway train.
I’m stuck shivering on Jane.
High heels stumbling, falling on knees, high, mumbling in the dark.
I wonder how many of your sidewalks are stained in my skinned knee bloody drops.
