Too hot
Or too cold

Sun hides behind me and I'm getting bold
I'm talking 'bout burning - and out with the old –

But my words aren't always my strongest.

The longest I've gone is a minute in heat
Before it makes me tired, before it makes me weak.
I don't know how to play the game, I don't know when to fold,
So I sit.
I wait for the fire to take hold.

Have I ever had anything worth saving?

I am craving
Constantly wavering
Will someone ignite this old corpse.
I am praying.
I am waning.
Wired to the pain. To the stain of old sunsets.

Do I hide in their shadows too much?
Am I too afraid to immolate anything?
